1930 CITY LODGE é um Hotel com um design singular situado no norte da cidade do Porto. Usando a estrutura original da casa existente, o hotel foi desenhado alterando as partições interiores. Utilizou-se o tradicional Pinho Português no chão, escada e no mobiliário, sendo também desenvolvido especialmente o detalhe do corrimão da escada no mesmo material. A parede em pedra original é parcialmente exposta para mostrar aos visitantes a estrutura tradicional da arquitetura Portuguesa do início do século xx. Criando deste modo, um ambiente quente e acolhedor com a união entre a madeira e a pedra. Todo o espaço é iluminado com uma suave luz indireta e com candeeiros de parede “Origami Lamp”, desenvolvidos para este projeto, que permitem iluminar o espaço através da própria arquitetura. (English) 1930 CITY LODGE is a design hotel in the north of Porto city. It has 3 suite rooms and 2 dormitory rooms. Using the original structure of an old existing house, the hotel was designed by changing the interior walls. Plenty of Portuguese pine wood was applied on floor, stairs and furniture and we especially developed the detail of the stair handrail. The original stone wall is shown partially to display to the visitors the traditional structure of Portuguese architecture of beginning of 20 century and creates the warm and cozy ambient with mixture of wood and stone. The space is illuminated by indirect lighting and originally designed “Origami Lamp”, which enables to illuminate the space by architecture itself. (Japanese) 1930 CITY LODGE はポルトガル、ポルト市の北に位置するデザインホテルで、3つのスィートルームと2つのドミトリールームからなる。かつて住宅であった建物の既存の構造を残し、内部の間仕切りを変更した。ポルトガルで豊富に取れる松材を床、階段、家具などにふんだんに使い、特に木材を使った手摺のディテールにこだわった。また既存の石造の壁を部分的にあらわすことで、20世紀初頭につくられた、ポルトガルの伝統的な住宅建築の構造を見せるとともに、木材と石の素材の組み合わせによる、快適で温かみのある空間をつくりだした。また、折り上げ天井による間接照明と、オリジナルデザインの「ORIGAMI」シリーズの照明器具によって、建築と照明器具が一体となった照明をおこなった。
